Mark-Paul Gosselaar is an American actor of German, Dutch and Indonesian descent.  He was born on March 1, 1974 in Panorama City California. He is popularly known for his character as Zach Morris on the TV show “Saved by the Bell”. He also appeared in the popular cop drama NYPD Blue from the year 2000 t0 2005 playing the character Detective John Clark. He also played the lead role in the TNT's legal drama “Raising the Bar” as Jerry Kellerman in 2008.  In 2011, he played another role as a lawyer in TNT's Frank and Bash comedy-drama TV series, which was described and promoted in the US as the funniest legal procedural show. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is a shy person in real life. Mark-Paul Gosselaar got his first taste of the klieg lights when he was only five years old. He appeared in a print ad for Century Plaza, a hotel chain in North America.   Before he got his big break in the entertainment industry, he did some time doing modelling gigs until he landed a role in the TV series Highway to Heaven.  He was successful in making a mark on the eyes of TV producers despite the small role he played on Stairway to Heaven that he appeared later on three more TV shows such Charles in Charge, Punky Brewster and the Wonder years with guest roles.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar biggest break came in the late 1980’s when he landed the role of Zach Morris, a middle school student on the TV series, Good Morning, Miss Bliss by Disney.   The show went on for 13 episodes from 1987 to 1987 before the plug was pulled off literally speaking. However, it resurfaced as Saved by the Bell, focusing on the character of Zach Morris. The show paraded new casts and was restructured to fit it into the new plot of the story which is about the high school life of Zach Morris and his friends: Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley and Tiffanni Thiessen. This show was a resounding success that it lasted for several seasons, which lasted for four years.
